BACHIR BACK WITH A WIN

Godolphin's Bachir won the #150,000 Khor Dubai over a mile on dirt at Nad Al Sheba in Dubai last night.

Sylvain Guillot's mount, winner of the Richmond Stakes for John Gosden last year, scored by three quarters of a length and four lengths from his stable-companions Interrogate (Frankie Dettori) and Zoning (John Carroll).

Trainer Saeed bin Suroor also saddled fifth-placed Pacino in a contest seen as a prep race for the UAE Derby.

Best of the three British-based runners was Gerard Butler's Compton Bolter (Darryll Holland) who finished fourth.

Butler's Stayin Alive (Gary Carter) was eighth, with Gay Kelleway's Buggy Ride (Neil Callan) last of 11.
