Dermot Weld's record breaking run shows no signs of slowing at Galway as Hit The Jackpot made it win number 16 of the week in the Ladbrokes.com EBF Maiden.
Pat Smullen, notching his 12th winner, gave the son of Pivotal a canny front-running ride in the mile contest. Mannheim was sent off 8/15 favourite but couldn't peg back his rival down the straight.
Smullen always looked in control as his mount posted a length-and-a-half success.
"It was good tactical ride from Pat. He said beforehand that he would be keen to make the running," said Weld.
"He was a very fit horse and knew his job. The blinkers helped him concentrate and he kept going to the line.
"We'll try and go for a Listed race with him. He didn't surprise me there as he's been working nicely.
"He idled at the Curragh last time and I was a bit disappointed with his run. We put blinkers on him the other day just to help him concentrate and they sharpened him up."
