Successful in the Group Two GAIN Railway Stakes at the Curragh in June with Go Bears Go, Amo Racing Limited have moved the three-year-old Brasil Power to the Joseph O’Brien yard, for what could be an interesting campaign.

After winning a Kempton nursery in October Brasil Power has a long way to go to justify his Cazoo Epsom Derby entry, but the Dark Angel colt has the scope to progress from his official rating of 85.

Kiavash “Kia” Joorabchian, the AMO Racing supremo, is an Iranian-born British-educated businessman that operates at the highest level behind the scenes in the world of football. He employs Tuam’s Rossa Ryan as his retained rider.

Fifth in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh in June with Mojo Star, Amo took a bronze medal, also at HQ in 2021. The aforementioned Go Bears Go finished close up behind Ebro River and Dr Zempf in the Group One Keeneland Phoenix Stakes.

The owners did have an Irish trained runner in the past when Mr Kiki had a couple of outings at Dundalk for Mark Fagan in December 2020.
