Amo Racing's impressive recent maiden winner Hill Road will step up in grade during Champions Weekend this month, with the Adrian Murray-trained colt due to have his first run at stakes level.
A $350,000 yearling purchase, the Quality Road colt made an impressive winning debut when scoring by five lengths under David Egan on Leopardstown debut on August 8, and currently has a host of big-race entries.
Although entered for the Group 1 National Stakes on September 15, trainer Adrian Murray reports “Hill Road has a few entries on Champions Weekend, but will probably go for the mile (Group 2 KPMG Champions Juvenile Stakes, September 14) at Leopardstown.
“He’s done well since his first run and looks a nice horse going forward.”
There are 34 entries for the contest, which is registered as the Golden Fleece Stakes.
