Additional (9/1) picked up a good pot for Sarah Lynam on his second start for the trainer in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Habitat' Handicap over six furlongs at the Curragh.
He raced just behind the pace and travelled well for Colin Keane before getting the office to head Verhoyen over a furlong out.
He edged left but was soon back on an even keel before outgunning Mickey The Steel (22/1) by a neck after the latter challenged him in the closing stages. Erosandpsyche took third at 15/2, a couple of lengths away, and was followed home by 7/1 chance Midnight Fire
This brought up a Curragh treble for Colin Keane who was also successful on Zarinsk (8/1) and Pirate Jenny (5/2f) both for Ger Lyons.
Lynam said: “I thought he might win the first day in Naas (second to Blairmayne) but he probably needed it. He was very fresh and keen.
“He’s a lovely horse but was just a bit buzzy, and I thought if we could get a handle on him then he could win one of these.
“I’m delighted as it’s the biggest race I’ve won and it’s great for my uncle John who has been very supportive.
“He’s tricky to ride at home and David Mason has done a really good job with him.
“He may have got there a wee bit too soon but he was very game. Hopefully he gains some confidence from that because he was burning out over in England. He’s bred to be a good horse.”
