'Across the cards' double for Meade Letherfly was a 12/1 debut winner of the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden.  The daughter of Churchill tracked the leaders but Colin Keane had to bide his time and wait for racing room inside the final quarter-mile. Once in the clear with 200 yards to race, the winner picked up smartly to run down Four Blondes for a length and a half success. Owned by the Harcourt Racing Syndicate, the winner is trained by Noel Meade who was completing a quick 'across the cards' double after Flanking Maneuver's victory over fences at Fairyhouse.  “She’s a lovely filly," said Meade. "I was trying to get her to jump out of stalls a bit quicker yesterday but by the time we were finished I thought we have blown this completely because she had nearly gone the other way. “It was very much a learning process but it’s great that she’s won. She’s a big filly and can only improve.  “She’s by a good sire and has been doing things well but is big and backward and needs time. “I’d say she should get seven (furlongs) or a mile.  “Brian Wallace put the syndicate together and he was also the instigator of the High Street Syndicate that had some very good horses like Sausalito Bay and Rosaker.”  Quotes from Alan Magee
