ARCTIC OWL RETIRED

Arctic Owl, winner of the Jefferson Smurfit Memorial Irish St Leger in 2000, will not be in the line-up for the latest renewal of the classic at the Curragh on Saturday, writes Alan Magee.

James Fanshawe`s charge has been retired after suffering a recurrence of an old tendon injury.
