The Peter Harris-trained Amalia, ridden by Pat Eddery, was unplaced in the Group Three Prix Exbury at St Cloud in France this afternoon.
The first pattern race of the new season was won in convincing style by the Henri-Alex Pantall-trained Russian Hope, fit from a successful campaign at Cagnes-sur-Mer.
The six-length winner over French St Leger winner Amilynx paid 3.3-1 on the Pari-Mutuel. -PA
