ALJABR TOPS SUSSEX TEN

Crimplene will miss Wednesday's Champagne Lanson Sussex Stakes at 'Glorious' Goodwood.

The Clive Brittain-trained filly, winner of the German and Irish 1000 Guineas plus the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, was not among the 10 horses declared for the Group One contest at today's 48-hour stage.

The three-year-old is expected to run in Saturday's Vodafone Nassau Stakes instead.

The field is headed by Godolphin's Aljabr, winner of this one-mile contest last season.

The four-year-old, who captured the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes at Newbury in May before finishing fourth when favourite for the Queen Anne Stakes last time, is joined by stablemate Josr Algarhoud.

Dansili, a dual Group winner for Andre Fabre this season and second to Kalanisi in the Queen Anne Stakes, was made 9-4 favourite for the race by the Tote last week.

Aidan O'Brien will be represented by St James's Palace Stakes winner Giant's Causeway and Manhattan.

Valentino and Medicean, second and third respectively to Giant's Causeway at Royal Ascot, take him on again.

Champagne Lanson Sussex Stakes declarations: Aljabr, Almushtarak, Arkadian Hero, Dansili, Josr Algarhoud, Golden Silca, Giant's Causeway, Manhattan, Medicean and Valentino (10).
