Naas Racecourse and Lawlors Hotel are planning a weekend of festivities around the Grade 1 Lawlor’s Of Naas Novice Hurdle on Sunday January 5 with fashion prizes and also a glamorous ball on the previous evening.
The Grade 1 Lawlor’s Of Naas Novice Hurdle, won in the past by the likes of Envoi Allen and Bob Olinger, is the highlight of the year at Naas and the card is now further bolstered by the Grade 2 Racing Post Novice Chase.
Model agency boss Mandy Maher and model Sarah McDermott will again judge the Best Dressed Competition with a €2,000 Frasers gift card, a two-night stay in a luxurious suite at Lawlor's of Naas Hotel, dinner at Vi’s Restaurant plus a Tipsy Afternoon Tea all on offer for the overall winner.
Lawlor’s of Naas Hotel is also hosting a Women’s Christmas Ball on the evening of Saturday January 4 when guests can enjoy the glamorous ball, stay overnight and then head to the races in their best attire.
Mandy Maher commented ahead of the event: “Winter racing is the perfect opportunity to showcase fabulous coats, hats, and accessories. We’re looking for outfits that are stylish, practical, and full of personality. Comfort and warmth are key for a long day at the races!”
