16/1 Fairyhouse brace for Power Robbie Power completed an opening race double at Fairyhouse when well-backed favourite Not For Burning (11/4) got home under top-weight in the Ratcliffe Group Supporting St. Margaret's GAA Mares Handicap Hurdle. Now a dual course winner at Fairyhouse, after her victory here on New Year's Day, the successful Old Vic mare looked set to score well when asserting before the last. Power, earlier a winner on Newberry New for Jessica Harrington, saw his advantage reduce close home on Not For Burning. However they held on by half a length from the rallying pace-setter Siberian Vixen. The front pair left Oscar's Passion all of thirty two lengths back in third. Winning trainer Denise 'Sneezy' Foster said: "She's a tough mare, and it looked like she got a bit lonely by herself. When the other horse came to her, she battled back. "Puppy gave her a lovely ride as she likes to have her own space." Jack Kennedy was given a three day ban for using his whip with excessive frequency on second placed Siberian Vixen. (AM & EM)
