Trainer Denis Hogan has lodged an appeal into his three-months suspension of his license, resulting from today's published findings regarding a positive test for a prohibited substance following an October winner.

Hogan's Ballyadam Destiny showed elevated levels of triamcinolone acetonide (TCA) and dexamethasone after winning at Galway last October and following an IHRB hearing, had his license suspended for three months, beginning from August 1.

Hogan today reported “we have lodged an appeal while we have the appeal in, I don't want to say too much.

“I was shocked and it took me a day or two to digest (the findings) but it is what it is now and we'll have to make the best of it. I haven't thought beyond August 1 and will have to speak to my solicitor and see what he thinks and take it from there.”
