we bought him after he won at Dromahane but there was a question mark over his wind. David Mullins was very keen on him though and had picked him out, so I thought at the price (€60,000) he was worth a chance. He’s now won a point-to-point and a bumper and he’s for sale to stay in the yard. He has a Flat pedigree so it was impressive to win a point-to-point in Dromahane and now win a slowly run bumper. The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Full Confession, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first, Milo Miller (GB), ridden by Mr A. Harney, placed second, and Youlita, ridden by Mr J.G. Murphy, placed third, where it appeared interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J.G. Murphy stated that he was in the gap when he felt pressure from his outside and had to check. He further added that he felt he would have been second at least. Mr A. Harney stated that he got pushed towards the rail but was aware of the horse on his inner. Mr P.W. Mullins stated that when he struck his mount he went right but he corrected him immediately. He further added that he could only see the horse on his inside and not the horse on the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Full Confession had caused interference to Milo Miller and Youlita, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that Mr. P.W. Mullins was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for three racedays

Mr D. Doyle, rider of Trasna Na Pairce, trained by P.M.J.Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout

Mr J.G. Murphy, rider of Youlita, trained by Paul Cashman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered inside the last furlong

An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven years old only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Point-To-Point steeplechase in Ireland since 1st October, 2022

Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2024/2025 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 6th November or the horse will not be qualified to start. The IHRB have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season. HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply. (i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-To-Point steeplechase since 1st October, 2022. (ii) The number of horses declared will be then reduced by balloting those horses that have not won more than one Point-To-Point steeplechase since 1st October, 2022. (iii) In the event of Paragraphs (i) and (ii) not achieving the recommended limit a random ballot will then be applied to the remaining horses.
