Buto (GB) kicked its rider, Cieren Fallon, in the parade ring.

Having been examined by the doctor and Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race, both the rider and gelding were deemed fit to race.

Approximately one and a half furlongs out, there was interference between Nat Love (IRE), placed fourth, which hung left and Space Ace (FR), placed third, which lugged right, resulting in Nat Love (IRE) being hampered but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Adam McNamara was interviewed in relation to the racing manners of Space Ace (FR), placed third, inside the final furlong.

McNamara explained that the filly has displayed a tendency in the past to pull herself up when in front and on this occasion had veered sharply right handed towards the paddock exit on the stands rail, inside the final half furlong, causing him to become badly unbalanced and Space Ace (FR) to lose significant ground and momentum before being passed by two runners approaching the winning post.

Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that JOHN LEO’S SON (IRE), unplaced, ran green, Scott McCullagh reported that Nat Love (IRE), placed fourth, ran too freely and hung both ways, Kieran O'Neill reported that Mayflower Lady (IRE), unplaced, ran too freely in the early stages and the Veterinary Officer reported that Space Ace (FR), placed third, lost its right hind shoe.
