A typically competitive 1m4f handicap, contested mainly by jumping horses. Moskova had shown improved form during the winter in handicap hurdles and was one of the leading fancies here off bottom weight. She raced prominently until losing her position turning for home. Seventh and ridden with a quarter of a mile to run, Moskova picked up well at the distance to forge clear in the closing stages for a deserved win. Trikirk, handled the ground well and stayed on in the closing stages to take second. Heavenly Blues, off the track for a year, was waited-with in rear and ran a fine race to finish third. Flashy Beau, a first ride in Ireland for South African jockey Keegan Latham also performed well.

Gilberto was a non-runner, lame.
