Permission was given for Siobhanbrogan (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood and for Spiritual Pursuit (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.

Approximately 5 furlongs out, Spiritual Pursuit (IRE), placed second, which had been sufficiently clear for some distance prior to Hollie Doyle commencing her move left-handed towards the rail after the marker poles, however by then a free-running Colour Code (IRE), unplaced, had improved onto her heels and had to be checked by its rider, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Spiritual Pursuit (IRE).

Approximately 4 furlongs out, as the pace steadied a hard pulling Miss Stormy Night (GB), placed fourth, ran onto and clipped the heels of the winner, Siobhanbrogan (IRE), which itself had to be restrained after running freely and becoming very awkwardly placed close to the heels of Spiritual Pursuit, placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Spiritual Pursuit (IRE), placed second, hung right- handed under pressure, Tommie Jakes reported that Colour Code (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed off the home bend and Rossa Ryan reported that Miss Stormy Night (GB), placed fourth, ran too free.
