Wonder welcome winner for Cusack
Coolagad Wonder got home in a bunch finish to the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap at Limerick.
Held up by Padraig Beggy the Liam Cusack-trained gelding charged home inside the final furlong to get up close home and pip All In Clover by half a length.
"That's a nice change of luck. If he reproduced his Dundalk run he had a chance," said Cusack.
"He had no luck when he got stopped in running at Wexford last time. We'll keep him to those sort of handicaps."
Tote punters were well rewarded with the winner (returned a 12/1 shot) paying 61.30.
