“Zaarito won't run at Christmas – we'll give it a miss. The plan with him was to give him a run at Naas before the Hilly Way and ideally I would have loved to get another bit of work into him.
“He was just a bit short and that probably meant he took a bit more out of himself. I was delighted with him.
“He's in the MCR Hurdle and that's a possibility or he could go across the water for something like the Victor Chandler.
“There is not much for him here. He's rated 130 over hurdles so is well handicapped and that might be the route to go.”

He can jump! He's been unlucky and has done stupid little things at stupid times,. He's done a lot of schooling since. Over drains and banks - you name it he's jumped it. We'll stick to the plan and go for the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse. He has plenty of pace and can go up or down in trip. He's grown up a lot as well. The last day probably answered a few questions for us. It's just a matter of keeping him in one piece. The day after Leopardstown he was bucking and rolling. He must be made of elastic or something. We always thought he wanted better ground and Davy said that today. We have a bit more confidence after that and he deserved it.

He could go up or down in trip. I'm delighted in the manor in which he won. He was misfortunate to come against Captain Cee Bee the last day and we all saw what he did earlier in the week. He will more than likely come back here for the Arkle.

They went no gallop and he (Matt) did the right thing going on in front. He jumped better there. He'll get an entry in the Deloitte Hurdle at Leopardstown and the step-up in grade should help him settle better. Two to two and a half miles is his trip though two miles at the moment might be better for him, it helps him settle more, he is a busy fellow. I'll have more sleepless nights about him.
