After race at Galway Thu, 28th Jul, 2022 (1st)  We had a few great days here and this lad won it a few years ago and prior to that we won it with Quick Jack and Thomas Edison,. These are the races you love to win and target them a while out. Fortunately enough it has worked out for us a few times. It's a great place to be, it's great to be here and great to have the ammunition. I met John in America in 1985, he's a great friend of my father's and he's looked after me since I was a nipper. Himself and his wife Debbie are two great people. We joined up in 2000. At that time he only came home for Galway and Leopardstown so you'd try and have the horses for those meetings, whenever he'd be home. He's been home for the last couple of years and it makes it a little easier as we can go wherever we have to go with them but the likes of this race is always a target from a long way out. It's gone so competitive but fortunately enough I have a few good men behind me still. If we get a few nice horses hopefully we can do the job with them. You could see a while ago that the horse was beginning to come to himself. He was coming in his coat, his skin, and you could see he was in rude health. We tried to have him as good as we could for today and it showed beforehand in the ring. He was mad alive and bold and active. He was getting a little warm which was a great sign and luckily enough he delivered. He seems to peak this time of year and his best runs are here. He handles the place and likes it obviously. After race at Punchestown Sat, 28th May, 2022 (1st)  The horses have been in great form and are doing everything right. He's been a bit unfortunate, he probably hasn't won as many races as he should have for the class of animal he is but today was brilliant,. He's been running since he was a two-year-old and has given us some great days, he won a Galway Hurdle and he's been a real good servant. He's been running in top quality handicaps on the Flat and over hurdles and always finishing bang there. It's lovely to get that today. We had a few bad years, we had a lot of mishaps and different troubles but touch wood all the horses are running well now again. Fingers crossed it continues. The hope is to go back to Galway with him but when they get to that stage of life you just keep tipping away and hope they pay for themselves. It's like Golden Spear who is retired now, he won in Leopardstown in March. Hopefully this fella will run away over the summer, go to Killarney and end up in Galway. The Galway Hurdle is probably beyond him now and we could look at the consolation hurdle on the Friday. His Flat mark is quite good now, he's down to 76 and he is competing well in good handicaps in the mid 80s so that long distance handicap in York could be on the agenda for him. A J Martin

After race at Leopardstown Sat, 23rd Oct, 2021 (1st)  It's great and he deserved it. He's nine now and has been there every year running well. It's just a pity with covid it was a bit of a mess last year, but he ran well in the Galway Hurdle last year. He has plenty of ability, he was very unlucky one day in that €150,000 race (Northfields Handicap) at the Curragh. He is what he is now but he owes us nothing. A J Martin

After race at Fairyhouse Wed, 20th Sep, 2017 (1st)  You couldn't be happier. He did it well and everything worked out well as John is home to see him,. He deserved that as he ran a nice race in Galway and things didn't worked out. Fortunately it paid off today. A J Martin

After race at Fairyhouse Sun, 16th Apr, 2017 (1st)  He was due that. What would have happened at the last nobody can say but he deserved a bit of fortune. We'll see how he comes out of this before deciding where we go next. A J Martin
