I was a bit afraid that I had hit the front too soon but he gallops and has pace. It means an awful lot to me. I thought it was a race that was going to get away. New Approach was pulled out twenty-four hours before it with an injury and Teofilo also missed it. Everything went to according to plan. We were hoping we'd get a nice pace and to just drop in behind them. He settled very well and we always knew that he would get the trip. It is probably a career topping day and it doesn't really get any better than this. I was very pleased with his run in the Dante as we didn't have a good run with him up to that. We got a bit side-tracked with the Guineas here and if nothing else we made it a good pace. He would have went to Epsom had Dawn Approach not been there. He needs a good strong gallop and we weren't sure about the stamina of Dawn Approach so it didn't make sense running the two of them in it. We will have to think about where we will go with him next but we need to be careful about the going as he likes nice underfoot conditions.

He'll probably come back here for the Irish Derby. Hopefully this weather lasts, and they don't go too fast. He's a very straight-forward horse but he needs the ground good or faster. He doesn't want it moving!

We are absolutely delighted with that. Kevin really likes him a lot. He had the experience of running in a Listed race the first day. Kevin didn't actually realise he was seven lengths in front. He didn't really get after him and he just kept lengthening all the time. He'll make a smashing three-year-old. He loved the ground and the trip was no issue. He's a nice exciting horse to have.
