he was very keen and Paul didn't anticipate a slow pace and the horse just winged one or two hurdles and then was in front. He didn't want to be fighting with him in at the back so took a chance letting him on and hoped for the best. You wouldn't think a three mile chaser would want to go much faster but he was going so easy. I think the Bobbyjo Chase is probably next and it would look like he's a Grand National horse. He is still in the Gold Cup and I'll see what way it's working out but the Bobbyjo would look Plan A at the moment.

He was late coming back this season so we decided to stay over hurdles, and he can go chasing next season,. He needs further and has been hanging terrible in his races but he was straight as a gun barrel today. He needs to go left-handed. He'll step up in trip and we'll see what's available for him. He could go to Aintree.

that was a good performance as they went a hell of a gallop and he quickened up after the last. He's very tough and needs a good gallop, so Bryan went on. We bought him after he won his point-to-point and he stays forever. He doesn't mind that ground and will have no problem stepping up in trip. We'll see how he is after that and then make a plan.
