I was going to let him out three weeks ago!. This suited him and he was still in good form so we said why not. We’ll have a look and see what’s coming up now. It’s great to finish up the season with a couple of wins as we were struggling for ground on and off. It has worked out well.

I don’t know what happened at Roscommon the last day. Seamie (Heffernan) said that he just didn’t feel right. Everything was nearly identical to last year in terms of weights, and Sean gave him a lovely ride. He did exactly as he was told. He’ll continue to mix it between the flat and hurdles.

I was a bit worried about the ground but we took our chance and ran as he was in great form. It worked out great,. That's my first winner at the Curragh. I've been trying for a while and have had a couple of seconds. We'll keep him to the Flat for a while. I would love to get him into one of the big money handicaps but he might need to win another one.

I'm delighted and I don't think anyone could begrudge him that. He made hard work of it. Adrian said he thought he was going to win easy but he made it hard for himself. I'm just happy he got the result. He might stick to hurdles for the minute but will definitely go back on the Flat at some stage. He could go to Punchestown if there is something suitable.

He gets every yard of that trip and I was confident after Fairyhouse as we had a good pull at the weight with the other horse (Saratoga Baby). He will more than likely go over hurdles in time and we will see what the handicapper does now but he might just scrape into a premier handicap at the Curragh on Derby weekend.
