they just went a nice steady gallop and Paul said he jumped very well and he has done it well. Paul said he wasn't out of second gear and hadn't even asked him (at the final fence) and said he was cantering the whole way. He's a hard little horse to get fit but there are plenty of options for him now. He will stay a novice now to get a bit of experience and could go for a handicap at the end of the summer. He actually wants fast ground and has a great attitude.

Paul gave him a great ride - top class. He likes it around here. I ran him in Punchestown over two miles because Paul (Townend) thought the previous day here he didn’t jump slick enough for a handicap. He also thought a run over a shorter distance wouldn’t do him any harm to sharpen his jumping and he was brilliant today, travelled away and arrived at the right time. I don’t know whether he’ll go on proper winter ground but we’ll keep tipping away until we find out. The owner Clare Moore is from England and I’ve just sold him to her in the past two weeks. She couldn’t get here today but she’ll be well pleased.

Paul gave him a great ride. I half fancied him as he'd some good runs in Perth and also ran well the last day in Down Royal,. I was a bit worried about the ground but Paul said he was always travelling on it. He'll be a nice horse for fences next year. We'll keep him on the go until the real winter ground, and he could go to Down Royal for the Festival.
