He had such a hard race the last day that we had to go easy on him. I decided to come back in trip and it worked out on that ground. Davy was delighted with him and he jumped great. I told Davy to take his time and for once he listened to me! . I think this is a hell of a horse and he was unlucky the last day. The original plan was to go for the Drinmore had he won the last day but I'm not sure where he will go now. We will have to see how he fits in with the other Gigginstown horses.

He's improved so much this year and again since his maiden win. Every day he's getting that bit better, and if I had any worry beforehand it was the three miles. He has scope, size and is a great clean-winded horse. You would have to think he'll be a horse to be reckoned with when he goes over fences. I'd be tempted to go to Navan for the two and a half mile Grade 1 novice. He does need cut in the ground, and I wouldn't run him on fast ground.

I shouldn't have run him at Fairyhouse (171 days ago at the Festival). Firstly the ground was too quick and secondly he was very immature. He could be anything . I know it wasn't a great race but he couldn't have done it any better. He jumps great and goes on the ground. He stays well too. He was ready to run but he wasn't over-fit and he'll go for a winners race now. Two and a half miles would be a minimum for him.

After Joe Smooth let us down so badly it's nice to get our first winner for the owner,. That's it for bumpers. He's a lovely big horse that needs time to fill out.
