I'm delighted. We retired him at the end of last year and I got him back for the two South African guys to ride but today was an apprentice race. I wanted to run him in Killarney, because he likes it, but he got in today,. Conor was unbelievable on him. We're down to a good mark, he's had loads of problems and if we can get him back after today well and good but it's every day with this lad. He's 17-1 and has a lot of problems. He's repaid me now because I kept him three years too long!

He is huge and is 610 kilos at the moment. All his runs this year were in big-field Leopardstown handicaps and he was never beaten more than five or six lengths and ran well every time. He needs his own way in front and got it today around here, and Emmet was very good on him and kidded him along and he won well in the end. He shows a lot more at home than he does at the track and those claimers are ideal for him, as in a handicap they are all vying for the lead and it is a different story. He'd have won without the blinkers today.

Ben is with me full-time and is a Dingle man but is no relation to Jack or Paddy (Kennedy, jockeys). He came to me wanting to ride over jumps but he has ended up riding on the flat and it's a bonus for him as he is a big lad and he works very hard. He rides well. He (Swiss Army Officer) is a big horse and we thought we'd be going down the bumper route but he just doesn't stay. He has been placed and I didn't think he'd ever get there as he has been unlucky. He was due to go Leopardstown at the end of the week but doesn't take his racing too well and I might leave him off for the year now.
