He was a good hurdler last year but then had three-year-old-hurdler 'syndrome' although is back to himself now. He had a good run up north the last day and we took him out twice recently as the ground was too quick but it is lovely here. . Two of his owners travelled down last night from Armagh and are staying tonight so this is great. We might go for a handicap hurdle at Tipperary on Super Sunday next month.

He was my only runner over Christmas and was one we thought might win. He’s a nice horse and since the first day he started jumping hurdles he seems to enjoy it. I think there is a four-year-old novice in Naas in mid-February and we’ll go there and give him an entry in Cheltenham. We’ll see what happens with the handicapper. He stays all day. Cian was saying he needs to run in a better race because they are going too slow for him. He’s too free and needs a faster pace. He was always a good jumper but is jumping a bit high. I’ve never had a runner in Cheltenham, so I might have one this year.

I was disappointed with him in Leopardstown. I put a pair of visors on him and I don't think they even really worked today. He's very babyish and doesn't travel through a race. Hopefully he'll improve from that, we'll let him off now for the year. He gets through that ground, I had him in Galway yesterday but I didn't think the track would suit him given the way he travels. I came here for the better race. If he starts to travel a bit better in his races he will go on from here and I'm just putting that down to being babyish, hopefully that's it.
