She’s a bit mad! She ran too free in Listowel the last day and ran too free in Clonmel before that and in the Galway Hurdle she didn’t jump off,. I wanted to run her in the Irish Cesarewitch last week and he wouldn’t let me but now I want to run her in the Colm White Handicap at Naas (on October 12th). She has loads of ability, she’s very talented. If she puts it all together she’s capable of winning one of those. She did too much in the visor the last day and run herself into the ground. She’s fully mad and we just have to try and keep a lid on her. She ran well in the Tipperary Cup in Clonmel but she pulled for a mile-and-six, she was still pulling turning into the straight and still finished fourth. She’s not learning. We’ll go to Naas now.

This was the plan to come here but I wasn't expecting to meet a horse (Mont St Michel) rated 97 in a maiden, although I don't see how the handicapper can do too much with her. At Galway, she is in the amateur handicap and the Hurdle, which she mightn't get into being rated 131, but there is also a mares' hurdle for her. We'd prefer to go for the amateur handicap, as Adam (Ryan) thought she'd win it after her run at Leopardstown. They went no gallop in that Leopardstown race when she was probably unlucky against A Dream To Share. She got blocked twice in the straight, but galloped out well to the line then. She'll definitely go to Galway now.

She only had ten stone six (pounds) on her back and we thought, if she didn't throw it away, that she couldn't get beat. She's nearly won every race she's run in but she, not the jockeys, managed to throw them all away by being too keen. I ride her out at home and have been trying to teach her to do things right. She's learning, I think. Andy wanted her to make the running today and it was probably the day to do it with all the weight she was getting. I didn't see the sectionals yet, but I'd say she went a fair gallop and didn't get an easy lead anyway. She'll probably go back on the Flat next and stick to mares' company over hurdles. The aim is to get a bit of black-type with her.
