I'm just after finding out that he mightn't be qualified for the Galway Hurdle. That was my plan so we may have another plan then if he's not. Maybe he'll go for the amateur handicap or the mile-and-a-half on the Friday. There is also the other hurdle that I won twice with Top Othe Ra. He'll be going nowhere in the morning if his legs are not good because he did break down a couple of years ago. He's in on Saturday but he won't run after today. I was only going to run there if it was too firm tonight. He could be an English Cesarewitch horse, there is plenty of money in that and we could also look at York. There is probably a real good handicap on the Flat for him and a handicap over hurdles with him as well. I think he was rated 132 when he signed off as a hurdler in 2018. He's a lovely horse. He's always playful and always wants to get on with the job.

I bought him for 11,000 euro as a yearling (at Goffs) and we always thought he was good, but he took his time to come. He has a good French staying pedigree. He learned a lot in Punchestown, where he only jumped the last two hurdles, and we felt if he jumped adequate he would improve a lot on that. He won well on the Flat at Navan and got a right slap from the handicapper. Maybe he’s right, but I haven’t gone back on the Flat because of that. Hopefully he holds his form and we can come back here for the Grade One race in February. That’s the obvious target. Hopefully the wheels stay on the bus until then.

All the money was for Willie's but I still really fancied this fella,. He had come on a lot from Sligo. When Willie's came down I said 'if we don't win now I'm in trouble!'. I told the owner 'I really don't fancy Willie's and I think we'll beat him.' He went and had a few pounds on him. I was confident although we got there too soon. He'll more than likely go hurdling now. He's a grand little horse and he's got it all together now.
