he has been a good, fun horse and has won five races for us now. He is owned by the Kings Horses Syndicate - I was in school in Kings Hospital in Dublin and a bunch of friends from there own him. I gave him to them a few years ago and he has been great and has near enough paid his way. hopefully we'll get another day out of him but ultimately is for sale and is one that will be going to England this year. There is a ladies' race in Cartmel in a few weeks time and we might go over there with him - a few of the lads from the syndicate are living in England now. He would be a super horse for England on good ground — he'd nearly be a 'Saturday horse' in handicap chases over there.

that's my first winner for Philip who he has been good to me and given me plenty rides this season. His horses are flying it and are in top shape. He had a good run in Wexford two runs ago and Philip thought if he was in good form would have a good chance today. He jumped away brilliantly everywhere, we knew there'd be plenty pace and while I was hoping I'd have something to bring me to the last, but unfortunately Jack Holiday fell and he was left in front a bit soon. He is a good honest horse though and got the job done.

a bunch of friends from school own him and David Thomas, one of my best friends from school, is involved in the syndicate. He is getting married in the Isle Of Man next weekend and all the syndicate members are going to the wedding, so it should be a good weekend. he’s been a great servant all year and I’ve had this race in mind for a while. I’d say the race today suited him and he’s more of a good ground horse. He could be advertised for sale and we might buy a young horse again.

I thought he’d win on that good ground. He was doing a half-speed when brought down the last day. James (O’Sullivan) chose to ride another horse (Presenting Lad). Paddy was down to ride one in Kilbeggan and I told him to get off it and come here. He’s owned by some friends of mine from school (Kings Horses Syndicate). He won for them last year and it’s great that he’s won again here. He’s handicapped over fences similar to his hurdle mark, so we might have a go at a handicap chase before the summer is out.

He is a home-bred horse and he is owned by a bunch of lads (Kings Horses Syndicate) I went to secondary school with. They are a bunch of friends from the King's Hospital School in Dublin. I told them that I thought he had a little chance and I'm delighted for them.
