He chipped a bone in a knee earlier on in the year and we had to give him time off. Ger Kelly down in Fethard did a great job with him. You're scratching your head saying 'will he come back or will he not?' Fair play to the horse, class is permanent. We were hoping to take this horse to Doha, that was the plan to go back again, and we couldn't because he was injured. This will make up for it and we will find something for him. He needs good ground, so we said we would come here. We'll see what way the ground is and we will take it from there after that.

There was a bit of pressure but it's great!. We have him entered in Doha and that is where we are probably going to go. Fingers crossed he will get in there, there is a big pot of money in the Middle East and we are going to chase it if we can. That was it (ran him on the Polytrack in preparation for Doha), we had him up here once before and he was very good, he travelled very sweetly when we did a half-speed on him two weeks ago. He really enjoyed it and took to it very well. The kid was very good on him and he gave him a very patient ride. He was excellent on him. He was very cool and didn't panic, good jockeys don't panic. Shane Foley had a chat with him, that's what all these boys do. He ran in the Breeders' Cup (at Del Mar in November 2021), so he is a very high-class horse and a Group 2 and Group 3 winner here in Ireland. We will target Group2s and Group 3s (on the turf). Jessica (Harrington) had him before me and there's not much improvement!

I don't think my heart will stand much more, it's still pounding. To have two winners on Champions Day is absolutely amazing. We came here today saying we could have one of those nearly weekends, with everything running really well and not getting a winner. Now to have two winners is absolutely amazing. For No Speak Alexander to win a Group 1 is great. Shane came in and said Real Appeal is 10lb better here than any other racecourse. He's won three races here now and he does nothing but improve. It's the first time he's won over a mile and it's really worked out. He's a funny horse, when he gets to the front he pulls himself up.

He really loves Leopardstown. I'd say his handicapping days are probably over now. He likes good ground, Leopardstown, and we'll see where we go now with him. He has stepped forward very well this year, he's a different horse, and I'm delighted with him. Seven is what he needs, I'm not sure he gets much further. Even still he got there a bit soon and was pulling himself up a little bit in front. This was the plan and I'll have to go and look at the program book now. He'll come back here on Champions Weekend for the seven furlong race, that will be his aim at the end of the year.
