He's a wonderful horse and maybe he'll get up to listed standard now,. The one big plus with him is that he pings the gates. We thought there would be a lot of early pace so the plan was to hold him up and see if we could drop him on the line. He just pinged the gates and got a free run up front. He's a super horse, that's four wins from five runs up here now. He had a long season and his last run was maybe one too many. We sent him home straight after that for a break and he's come back bigger and stronger. People were wondering about dropping him back to five but he did beat a horse of ours that won the Rockingham, Strong Johnson, by a short-head over five in Down Royal and that's a fast five. He's a super horse to have around the yard. He seems to love the all-weather. We ran him last year in the Curragh a few times and were questioning his resolution on the turf but the ground was maybe a bit soft. When we came here to Dundalk it transformed him.

He seems to love the surface up here,. We'll put our hands up as we've maybe been getting it wrong during the year, running him on soft ground and trying to ride races on him. He's happiest up there rolling along, he's travelling his own pace and he seems to love it. He's improving. I didn't think he'd win as easy, I thought it would be a dog fight and we'd be lucky if we won it. He won well. He beat a horse of ours, Strong Johnson, last year when Jim (Ryan) trained him and he went up to 91 so maybe we are underestimating this fella. He was quick out of the gates there and Declan was fantastic on him. He gets a good tune out of him.

His last few runs were a bit disappointing for the work he can do at home. He won his maiden in Down Royal last year when Jim Ryan trained him and he beat a good horse of ours Strong Johnson over five (furlongs). We were trying to ride a race on him up to this and today we said we’d just send him forward as he always seemed to be finishing well. He probably should have won here a few weeks ago when he got into trouble in behind. There was no excuses today, a good man on board and out in front and go. Jim Ryan and Dr Chah are good supporters of ours. They sent us a handful of horses so it’s great they are winning for them now. He’ll ply his trade up here for the winter.

It was great. Five furlongs wouldn't be his trip, he would be a six or seven furlong horse so he did well to do as well as he did,. We were expecting a good run, he ran great last week (in the Curragh) on his first run back for a long time. He was going to improve a bit from last week and that's what he did. If he's in good form he'll be out again soon, he will probably go back up in trip now. Today was the day!
