I saw him (Nathan Crosse) riding Willie's horse (Black Martini in the preceding race) and that's exactly how I wanted him to ride her. She was a little bit tapped for toe early on but she got a nice run through. She's hardy and takes a bit of driving. We are delighted. She has been a great servant and that's six races she has won now. That's her owner David Mooney's 25th winner in all and it is 25 years since he was here last with a winner. She is going to be covered next week by Buratino, so we are hoping that might knock another few pounds out of her. There's a (50-80) handicap in the Curragh and we will wait for that.

We've two grand sprinters (Polly Douglas and Dash D'or) to keep the place ticking over, every yard needs horses like her,.

it's a great result. We thought coming here that the only dangers to Polly or Dash were each other!. They worked exceptionally well last Wednesday and our camp was divided and I was in the Dash camp as I thought she had too much pace for Polly but here at Navan she's a course and distance winner and she ground it out. The other lads at home had Polly backed and they've all done the forecast so they're all happy out.

That's the hat-trick for the year now. I said to David at the start of the season that she'd win three. I hope I'm wrong now and she might get another one somewhere!. We were baffled the last day in Naas with her run. She just didn't fire at all and maybe she was in season or maybe she just got out of bed the wrong way. She was in great order so we said we'd come back here and have a crack at this. Andrew gave her a great ride. She's by a sire than stands outside Nurney, Le Cadre Noir, for Aidan Sexton. We have a few of them at home. They might not be very fashionable but they all run and win. He's good value for money. There is no reason why she can't move up a grade now. She's a small filly so we'll keep the weight off her back. She'll run away in these handicap sprints and we'll see.

She's progressed nicely from Ayr. I knew she was in great form but I was very worried when I saw the tacky ground. She ran well last year at the Curragh with cut in the ground so we let her take her chance. I told Andrew not to hit the front until the final furlong but they all fell away a bit. She's fresh and well and hopefully she can compete at a higher grade.
