He has been running very consistently and I felt his time was due to win a race. I was very pleased with that he did there. I said to Cathal to jump him out and let him bowl along and enjoy himself, and that's was what he did,. Of course he won his bumper here too. I suppose we will have to go for a handicap now and see where we go after that. He likes to bowl along at his own pace. We had to do that because he is probably more of a two mile four horse. We had to make it a good gallop. The owners said that all the family don't like to be crowded, with other horses around them.

We've always thought quite a lot of him but he disappointed us last time where the ground was tacky. He was brought down in Punchestown so we hadn't much to go on on racecourse performances. I've always been friendly with Rupert Macauley, so I gave his son the ride. It was a little bit of a surprise, but it's a nice surprise. He'll go hurdling now.
