I was disappointed with him in Bellewstown the last day, as I thought he’d be there or thereabouts. Anyway, we decided to change the tactics today and it worked. It’s lovely to come down here and win a pot like that and it’s my first winner down here. I’ve had a heap of seconds, but never seemed to be able to get the head in front. He’s entered in the Galway Hurdle. It’s unlikely he’ll get into it, but if by some miracle he did he would definitely have a go.

It's great to get a win with him. He's got a lot of ability as he's shown on the Flat and indeed over hurdles already,. It's all about relaxation for him. If he settles he's very good. It's great to get a result with him and it'll do him good. I'm not sure where we'll go now.

He's very green and has never been away to a racecourse so I'd say there is tonnes of improvement. He's got plenty of raw ability, and there are no easy Leopardstown maidens. That was the plan and I don't know where he'll go next but he'll probably stay a mile. It was good to see him go on that ground.
