it was her first time over three miles and you don't know unless you try it and Mark gave her a great ride. I have her a year and a half and the only time she finished out of the money was when she fell one day at Fairyhouse. She is very consistent, it is a nice pot to win and I'm delighted for her owners Liam and Carol Rooney who are part of the syndicate. It is nice for them to come down here today and lead her in. There is a two-mile handicap for her at the Derby weekend and she might go there.

It probably wasn't the strongest maiden hurdle as you hadn't Willie (Mullins), Gordon (Elliott), Joseph (O'Brien) or Noel Meade. She is a good flat performer and I can't see her going on real heavy ground so she might go for a break and come back in the spring. The North County Syndicate enjoy her and Andrew and Lar Kelly from Baltinglass get good craic out of her too. Ricky gave her a great ride. Her jumping was a bit slicker than at Wexford, she was very quick over the last, and she is a nice one to look forward to. We'll see what the handicapper does with her.

That's Niamh's third winner but she hasn't ridden in three years and you can see she got very tired coming up the straight! . Niamh is my younger sister and is a great help around the place and I'd be lost without her; she'll be doing a Masters in UCD in October. This is a nicely bred mare and is her second win; I don't have her too long and is owned by a great bunch of people (North County Syndicate) and they're knocking great craic out of her. She is a big filly and can go hurdling too and it is nice to see her handling that cut in the ground.

She deserved that as she was unlucky the last day in Fairyhouse. She’s a big, strong filly and a big galloping track suits her.
