They went a bit quick in Tipperary (down the field last time). When his chance had gone Ian (Brennan) looked after him. The ground was a bit hard there so I have to thank him for looking after him. That's seven Leigh has won on him and he gave him a hell of a ride. I have to thank the stall handlers. They play an important part as they're very patient with him. Leigh said he wouldn't miss a beat on him as he can take the mick a bit. That's mission accomplished. If he doesn't win again I don't care.

I had my hand on the phone to take him out because of the ground. My father said we'd go for it though and that's his third year in a row winning this race . he loves it up here.

We nearly weren't going to come because of the ground (yielding). We eventually decided to run as it was the first race and the ground would be fresh. Leigh gave him a great ride and he gets on well with him.

He's a horse that has ability but he's a bit of a monkey and doesn't kill himself,. I rang the course this morning to see what the ground was like as he needs it good to firm. We'll keep him going in handicaps over the summer.

He was a bit unlucky at Wexford the last day, he was very slow leaving the stalls. He was only just beaten on the beach two years ago so I thought he'd have enough speed for this. Leigh has now won on him twice.
