He just took off and went some gallop down the back straight,. He jumped great and we'll keep him to two miles as the faster they go the better he'll be. The main objective today was to get a clear round and we had hoped to get a lead. He'll go now for the Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown on St Stephen's Day. Jenari is almost sure to need two-and-a-half miles.

That was a lovely introduction. It's great to get a win having not won at all last year and when they haven't won for that long you start to worry a bit.

Oscars Well travelled really well in his race and I couldn't believe how easy he was going and went away under ‘hands and heels'. I was a bit worried about bringing him back to 2m2f but they went a good gallop. He has plenty of pace, has now won over 2m4f and 2m2f and the 2m5f Neptune Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham is the next logical step. We've always said he will be better on better ground and its great for the yard as they all work so hard.

I know Hidden Cyclone came out of the race but my horse couldn't have done any more than he did. Robbie (Power) even said he hated today's tacky ground. he travels very well in his races but we may have to get him to switch off a little. He'll go for the Grade 2 novice hurdle at Leopardstown at the end of January next and hopefully he'll be capable of carrying his Grade 1 penatly. The Neptune Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham is his longterm target.

He did it well and I'm thrilled as I knew he had improved a good lot from the first run. He's really coming to himself,. I'll enter him for the Barry & Sandra Kelly Hurdle at Navan (Dec 12th) and I'd say we might head there. I'd say he's pretty smart. He loves heavy ground and appreciated the step up to 2m4f. He was unlucky not to win a bumper. He ran well first time but then got sick and I never got him back.
