We always felt he would be a better horse on a bit better ground. He was a bit disappointing in Leopardstown when he missed a couple of fences early on and lost interest. Barry gave him a great ride. He didn't rush him and got him into a nice rhythm. He jumps fences with more confidence on better ground. He'll probably go to Punchestown if there is a race there for him. He has a lot of improving to do. I think he's getting stronger - he was very weak and is a very big horse.

He was a very big weak horse last year. I was hoping he'd strengthen up a good bit over the summer and he did but I thought he might get even stronger,. Hopefully he'll improve again and he'll get three miles onwards. We're hoping someday he fits into some of the big handicaps. Barry gave him a grand ride considering it was the first time he rode him. He can take a bit of a tow early on but he doesn't do anything too bad. He carries his head low and is a real chasing type. I like that in a horse.
Oliver McKiernan
