When he ran well in Punchestown, we decided this was a good mid-summer target. He had a little holiday and then had a nice run over a shortish trip on the flat at Leopardstown to blow the cobwebs away. He came here with the four-year-olds allowance and really it was a fantastic ride from JJ. He got a good start, a lovely position and made a lovely move at the top of the hill. It was a very impressive performance. He was a fresh horse today and was dropping from a Grade 1 into a handicap, which is always a help. Today was the target so we won't rush him back but he will be going back into graded races somewhere.

he was a little bit careful (jumping) but got the job done. He had a rating in the 90s on the flat and hopefully he can build on that win today. He coped with the ground which is a big thing for these horses ahead of the winter and we'll try and find a winners' of one now.

Settled well, quickened up very well. He did (come up the hill strongly). Nice run at two, but we thought on that ground he might get a bit tired. Some of mine have just taken a run this year. I thought he might be no different, but I was impressed with how he went to the line. Looks a smart horse. Huge horse and absolutely some scope. He will be a lovely middle distance/stayer, hopefully.
