I had a look around after the third last and couldn't believe how far clear I was. We were a bit worried about the ground coming here as you wouldn't expect it to be soft to heavy on June 1 but it actually rode alright. He schooled over fences last week and could go for a beginners chase next.

He was entitled to do that. His bumper form was pretty good but he's had plenty of problems over the last few years. He ran well the last day and this didn't look the strongest of races. He'll go over fences shortly. He's ten but hasn't much mileage on the clock.
