He deserves it as we were just nicked for a big pot in Galway. You can put a line through his last run as I went back too soon with him. He needs to run fresh as he’s a small little horse and he puts everything into his runs. We’ve had a great year, our best ever, and it’s all down to everyone at home as we have great staff. I’m delighted for Richie and taking 7lb off is a great help. When we have a chance of going to Cheltenham we might as well go, and that will probably be his next run. He has plenty of pace to travel well in those races. I was always worrying about three miles with him but the dryer ground definitely helped.

Last year he was just not right although we couldn't find out what was wrong with him. We gave him a break and he's come back better,. I'm delighted for Richie who is well worth his 7lb claim. He won a point-to-point on him and is very strong. He's not big enough to jump a fence so is a bit limited, and will struggle to win off a higher mark.

I think that's David's third ride for me and a third winner. I thought 8lb (rise for his latest win) would stop him but he's improving away. I said after Navan that he'd probably go to Fairyhouse (Festival) and he may still do that; he's been busy enough but will go on better ground. He travels great and jumps great. I got him after he won a point-to-point for Aidan Fitzgerald.

He deserves it more than anything. He's been running great and in some good handicaps like at Leopardstown. We were delighted with his last run and David gave him a great ride today. He won a point-to-point for Aidan Fitzgerald and he sent the owner on to me so I have to thank him. He'll stay tipping away in handicaps and I think he's qualified for the three-mile novice handicap at Fairyhouse. That's a step up in trip but it looked today like that would be no bother.
