He got to boss it out in front. Paddy thought he might have went a bit soon but he likes to be up there. It’s nice quick ground. He gets on like he’d nearly like a cut but he’d nearly go on anything. I walked the track before and thought we should keep stand side, use our draw and get to the rail. He’ll run at Naas, Navan and the Curragh, all those nice tracks, and then back to Dundalk.

I don't know how much more we will keep going with him but we were happy enough to get one and Mark (Enright) gets on very well with him. We might put him away and tip away for the likes of races at Navan where he has got the stiff hill; in a higher grade he might be there to be shot at against horses with more of a turn of foot. I have a full yard, thank God, we'll keep going and changed them over a good bit because of the handicapping. We'd love to get some new owners in as well.

His maiden at the Curragh has worked out very well, there have been a good few winners come out of it, and he's come on from that race. It was back to the minimum trip today but he'll have no problem in stepping up. He handled the ground well but doesn't necessarily need that kind of ground. He was green too and will learn a lot from today. He's quite babyish, racing will improve him and hopefully he's going to go forward for us. He was home-bred by Cathy Grassick and that's her second runner and second winner.
