That was good, I thought a drop in grade at this stage of his career was probably no harm. He was careful at some of his jumps and then got some really good jumps. He jumped well when it mattered over the last. The dry conditions were a huge help to him. I might try and pick out another race like that. The (Grade 3) Imperial Call Chase at Cork (April 9th) might be a possible. The Aintree Bowl is a possibility but you are running up against Grade 1 horses there and we might be as well off keeping below the radar. That's his first win for two years and I'd prefer to keep him in a lower grade at his age and be competitive. Then we could try and finish up at Punchestown where he had a great day with Ruby Walsh, if he could roll back the years maybe he could do it again.

We’ll have a chat with the owners but maybe something like the Ryanair and let him enjoy himself and race from the beginning might suit him. myself and David (Mullins) were chatting after the race at Christmas and he said he's not fast but is a great galloper and this is a ride he would probably have had so it's thanks to him that I am on board today. It's great to be winning these high level races at the big meetings is what it's all about and riding a good horse like this is fantastic.

It’s a fantastic race, it’s going to be very difficult to win it. Kemboy is improving all the time, he’s the right age and profile going into this race. He won a big handicap at Punchestown and a Grade Two last time out. He’s going to have to step up to Grade One level now, but we’re very happy with him at home and this race will tell us a lot about where we are going at the end of the season. We are hoping Bellshill will make up into a Gold Cup horse this year. We do have a slight concern about him going left-handed as his form is better right-handed, but we can see no reason for that. Leopardstown hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for him. He got beaten in a bumper, was beaten in a novice hurdle and fell in a novice chase. He’s in good form at home and looks fantastic. The form he showed at Punchestown and Fairyhouse in the spring, off an interrupted season, shows the level of ability he has. We’re hoping he’s a Gold Cup horse this year.

I hadn't him declared at 10am yesterday and with the new HRI initiative of reopening races with a small amount of runners, he was the first one I've ever declared after 10am. I said we'd chance it and it worked out for us,. I was delighted with him because I didn't think he could be that straight and I wondered was I running him too quick before the Ladbrokes (Trophy, at Newbury). He was very fresh and very free and that was smart to do that today. I imagine he goes to the Ladbrokes now and I'm told he has a mandatory 4lbs penalty for winning this. I had Paul on the two chasers today and Ruby on the hurdlers, that's all, and with the big weekend ahead that was the only reason. Paul was good on this fellow before and I don't know if there is a queue to ride Camelia De Cotte (in the next)!. And Paul is going well in the Championship too so I'd be delighted to see him Champion again but who knows as it's an open year. Jason Morris, of HRI - his mother died so condolences to him and his family.

Supreme Racing were telling me that is there 100th winner with me. Pique Sous was their first runner,. Kemboy improved from his first run and I hope he'll improve again. He jumped great except for being unlucky at the last. Paul lit him up and felt he was going too fast at it. I'd imagine he'll go up in grade and he deserves to go up in grade. We'll keep the good entries open for him and I'd imagine they are keen to travel with him. He won't go to the Dublin festival and we'll see whether he has another run or goes straight to Cheltenham. He would look a JLT horse and looks good enough to go into that.
