She has been threatening to win since she won in Cork. She has invariably been getting poor draws and I always think she is better if she has a rail to run against. Jack got her away well, she travelled really well today and as well as I'd ever seen her travel, and picked up great. I'm so pleased for Jack, he was with me when he was a 12-year-old and they lived in Navan for a long time and then they moved to Castletown and he went to ride out for Noel Meade. I've been giving him a good few spins lately and that's his first winner for me. He's a lovely young fella and he's got a good talent. He's very promising. I think he is halfway through his 7lb claim and he is an astute rider, good hands and he is getting stronger all the time. I will of course (give him more opportunities), I've always tried to look out for a guy on the up - Mikey Sheehy and Dylan (Browne McMonagle) before that. If you can identify them early enough, they can reward you.

She didn't miss the kick which she invariably does and had a good draw today, having had lousy draws for a while. The rain also helped as she needs an ease. I know she is effective in Dundalk but I've always felt she needs a bit of ease. She isn't that big but is heavy-topped and hits the ground hard. She was down to the bottom mark and was in danger of going out of the system. It is a very cruel game here in Ireland as if you go down to 40 and run bad, you are out of the system because you won't get into a race. That's where she was today. We are looking at a very good jockey and a special talent.

she has really turned a corner. We were in limbo during the summer, we just didn't get a clear run with her and she takes a lot of work to get her fit. Once she's fit it's easy enough to keep her ticking over. I wasn't sure she'd ever come back here as she used to be a bit stiff after her runs but I think the surface is kinder now and she's come out of her races very well. the biggest thing about this one is her owner (RayRaymond Moore) - he's the luckiest man ever to have racehorses. I can only think of one or two horses that he's had with me over the years that didn't win. He just came back to Ireland today so I'd say there will be a big party somewhere, maybe around Monasterevin.

the kid (Whearty) was very strong. She takes a bit of riding and is not quite as quick as she used to be. We used to be able to drop her in and come home strong. The last day we ran her more prominently and possibly didn’t quite get home so we were trying to do a balancing act and he did a great job. she’s taken a while to come back to herself this year but the last run was encouraging having ridden her totally different than we used to. I think we got the balance spot on tonight and Robert did a great job. She wouldn’t have got the mile well last year but she’s a bit older and is quite a bit stronger than she used to be. I’m delighted for Ray Moore who is with me a long time and is an incredibly lucky owner. He resides in Spain now and will be delighted.

We'll have to get (owner) Ray Moore's name beside a lot more horses, he is so lucky!. He bought this filly about five runs ago and that's the second win since he got her so he'll be thrilled with himself. We had a few quid on her at 40/1 today because we thought she was in good enough order. It was atrocious ground on her last run (when last of 17 at the Curragh) and all the horses drawn on her side ran terrible. We were hoping it was that, you never know as she was on the go a long time and might have just gone over the top. Her work has been good though. Danny (Sheehy) was very good on her, very strong. Missing the kick is typical her, we thought the blinkers had stopped that because she used to do it before we put them on. That's her first time to do it badly in a while. It might have been a blessing as they went really hard up front and kind of stopped. It played to her strengths.
