He was coming here three weeks off the back of winning in Cartmel. He went over there for soft ground which we couldn't get in Ireland. The big fences here suited him as he jumps very well. Sean McDermott took another ride in the race so we went looking for Davy then as he wasn't going to ride in the race at all.
