It was a low grade race but it’s still nice to win it,. We bought him for handy enough money at Doncaster sales and it’s a syndicate of lads that have him. We’ll see what the handicapper does now. He’s in again later on in the week. He is what he is and we’ll have a bit of fun with him.

that was great for Steve who has been a great supporter of mine. He hasn't been well and I told him not to come today with the weather being so bad. He'll have got as big a buzz from watching it on TV though and was on the phone straight after the race. He (Holeinthewall Bar) was mugged on the line twice this year and he's the type of horse who would also win in England. He is for sale and is handicapped over fences and his jumping today was impeccable.

He's a nice horse and he's promised a lot but my horses haven't really been firing. I said I'd come west with him rather than having Stephen travelling as he's not in the best of health and he'll probably run at Roscommon next,.
