After race at Dundalk Fri, 14th Mar, 2025 (1st)  I didn't think he would stay that trip in a handicap, but in that grade he is too good for them. There isn't a claiming race programme that suits this horse now and he is quite stiff in the handicap and is a nine-year-old so, if we get him back, we will give him a complete break and we might get him back in the summer months for a couple of races on the turf. He's been a great soldier and he means a helluva lot to me, and has been a great flagship horse for me over the winter period to get me started and get my name out there. I've a lot to be grateful to this horse for and for the owners for keeping him going. A very consistent, fun horse - he is exactly what it says on the tin. We will be happy to keep him, but best of luck to the next man if they get him. Stephen Thorne

After race at Dundalk Fri, 14th Feb, 2025 (1st)  we told Jack to ride him as he found him but he had employed hold-up tactics the previous night so did something similar. He was mindful that there might be one or two that might go off quick. The race ended up in two halves early-on, so it looked hard work at the top of the straight. It didn't look like he would get there but he ground it out. His class is above these but, unfortunately, there is no programme for this horse coming up. There's limited races and limited opportunities for him and we also know he doesn't operate as well on turf, so said we’d just take advantage of this race. If we lose the horse, very best of luck to the next man and he has been a super servant. Stephen Thorne

After race at Dundalk Wed, 29th Jan, 2025 (1st)  I actually wanted Jack (Kearney) to sit a little bit tighter, but he didn't listen to me! We told Jack Cleary (on Volatile Analyst) to commit latest because he is a strong traveller but ended up being far too keen and raced handy: they went plenty quick up front. Jack (Kearney) was very cool on the winner, he took his time, rode the rail and I’m just delighted the way he has been riding the horses there recently. This horse knocks in one every year. the same weekend I got engaged, this horse won and the weekend I got married he also won. We are due a baby this week so this horse means a fair bit to me!. He's nine and is not getting any younger, but I'm delighted he has won and for all the lads involved. I think there is another 0-95 coming up over seven or a mile. Stephen Thorne

After race at Leopardstown Thu, 24th Aug, 2023 (1st)  Cian (MacRedmond) gave him a great ride. He was going to sit handier but they went quick and he sat off them. He's riding with great confidence, things are going well for him, and he just let the race happen. He was quite comfortable in the race and he picked up well. The key to this horse is ground, he loves top of the ground. He'll probably sneak into a big handicap now but we didn't enter him up on Champions Weekend. He'll try the racing league over in England, we might go over there with him one of the days. There will be plenty for him. Listowel probably won't suit him as the ground tends to be gone there. After race at Leopardstown Thu, 8th Jun, 2023 (1st)  He gave him a good ride. He looks like a big three-mile chaser, but he wants it like the road. If he gets a smell of soft ground at all, he doesn't seem to act on it. He was good around Dundalk, but he was quite disappointing a few times on soft ground. He had come down a few pounds but not that much. Adam gave him plenty of room, he doesn't like being crowded either. He pulled him wide and he stayed at it well, galloped home well. Adam is down to 5lb now, but he's still good value. We'll try and find something else and rattle on with him. It's his second win since we got him so the boys are delighted. He had very good form years ago in premier handicaps and if, he wins again, he could sneak into one of them again. I'm sure we'll find something for him in Galway, it might not suit if it's slow ground. Adrian McGuinness

After race at Dundalk Wed, 4th Jan, 2023 (1st)  he was a little bit unlucky the last day, the handicapper had it exactly right today and Cian (MacRedmond, jockey) gave him a good, nice and patient ride. We were drawn very wide (in 15), which was a real killer, so we put a visor on him to try and make him go forward early doors, which did help - I think that's what won it for him. He's a huge big horse, a smashing horse, and I'd say he'll be better on the turf. We were trying to get a win with him because he had run so well. I'd usually give him a little break about this time and he'll probably go on a break now. We might look at the all-weather finals in Lingfield, there is a good pot there, or maybe wait for the grass. he was a cheap horse at the sales, his form was there but he had lost it. He was quite disappointing last year and we said he was a horse worth taking a punt on. He wasn't overly expensive compared to what you usually have to pay for them. He was second in a Bold Lad (Handicap) on Champions Weekend and won a good pot down in Cork. Hodd's Girl ran a blinder, she was drawn wide as well. She finished strong and is a filly that keeps improving. Hopefully she'll stay at it. Adrian McGuinness

After race at Cork Fri, 7th May, 2021 (1st)  We had a wide draw so it worked out well and we got a lovely toe into the race. I could have held on to him a little longer but had no other choice and in fairness he put the race to bed. It was my first time riding him and I'm very grateful to Mr Weld for giving me the opportunity. He had a light weight and Oisin Orr and Colin Keane usually ride for Mr Weld, so I was very lucky to get the opportunity. D K Weld

After race at Naas Wed, 24th Jun, 2020 (1st)  He’d some good runs last year and deserved that. He’s a big horse and is beginning to fit into his frame now. I’d be hoping there is more to come.  D K Weld
