Lucid Dreams kept him honest the whole way and Mark (Walsh, jockey) had to change to plan B and drop him in behind. He jumped well when Mark needed him and a great performance to win five in a row. If the weather stays dry we might get another run into him and we could then give him a mid-season break and come back in the springtime. I’d rather keep him to the minimum trip if I could but he can go out to 2m4f. Mark felt maybe he didn’t want the ground as soft as it was today.

I thought it was a great performance because it's not long since he raced down at Killarney and he loves racing on flat tracks. I thought coming here, and coming up the hill twice, might be a step too far and it was a tough assignment. Mark even thought before the race that he was dead in himself and thinks the horse is settling and learning to relax. That will help him see out longer trips and have more at the end of his races. We'll run him in any two (miles) to 2m2f races we can find.

She was very professional. She has lots of speed but no one wanted to make the running, so I said we’d keep it simple on the best horse in the race. She could go jumping or back on the Flat. She loved that good ground and I think she’s a mare with a lot of ability.

We had him out early, he likes nicer ground. It dried up nicely here during the week when it stopped raining. He's a front-runner but a real good jumper. Watching him throughout the race, turning for home when they were all gathering up behind him, I said at least Mark has a length and a half in the bag. He jumped the third last and second last brilliantly and missed the last and I thought it was over as Imagine was coming and staying on, and I would say Gordon's horses are probably a little fitter than mine at the moment. But I was delighted the way our fellow stuck his head out and battled away to the line. I think he will improve from that. He does (look like a chaser in the future), he could very possibly be an Arkle horse down the line. I'd say that's where we might go next season. He is (very exuberant in his work), you don't have to tell him to go anywhere - he does it all himself. Mark said he was delighted. At the top of the hill, he wasn't so sure that he could do that. He was actually surprised how much he pulled out. To me that shows that he has a lot more under the bonnet.
