He's in the Kerry National and that's why he ran here. I still don't think he will get in, and if he doesn't make the cut he will go for a handicap chase at Cheltenham in October. This is really all about Adam (second winner and first in Ireland). He's been with us since May and is a very hard working lad. He's been telling us that the horse has been bouncing every time he's ridden him. Last year he was never right but he had a good winter and is in great form this year. He's a real fast ground summer horse.

I've been away all week so Adam and Dad having been doing them. Adam (Short) said he was bouncing so fair play to them,. He was unlucky in Perth last time as the ground went against him. He has to have good ground and daylight. He's only improving and was never right last year. His form shows that he's a different horse this year. I don't think his winning is done yet. He's always worked like a nice horse but just had a few things that we had to get the key to.

Adam Short said he was working well. I walked the track on Tuesday and thought it would need all the rain it got to change it. He's ground dependent and wants top of the ground but got away with it as it was the first hurdle run. He makes the jockeys work but has ability and Adrian gave him a good ride. The plan is Perth on Sunday week, back over fences and we might mix it with him after today's win. That was our first winner in Ireland in a while.
