What a little horse, 11-year-old, he deserves that. It's a few years since he won at Down Royal but he's always been consistent and running well. The handicapper had to give him a chance and fair play he did. He was the right side of the heads which was great. He's been around a long time, running in good races, and age and everything caught up with him. Liam was excellent on him. Just getting stopped after the last probably helped him as he had that little surge to give. He's such an honest little fella and you love to see them getting their day in the sun.

Sure look he was deserving of a good pot, he's been consistent and ran a lovely race in the Cesarewitch in England three weeks ago. Prior to that he was second in a (Cesarewitch) trial. He wasn't beaten too far by two of Willie's (Mullins) there the last day and ran a lovely race. He has been consistent all his life and has won plenty of good pots. He's a right little horse and he's been magic. Every year he just keeps doing jobs like that so we'll keep tipping away with him in both codes.

it’s great to get the opportunity from Tony - I was talking to him last night and he filled me with loads of confidence. He told me to ride him for luck and if it happens, it happens. In fairness he had the horse turned out perfectly for today and it worked out brilliant. When you are riding for Tony is those big handicaps, he is the man to go to. I was delighted to get the ride and thanks to my agent Ciaran O’Toole who got me on him, it was a great ride to get. It’s special to win it at the end of the season - it caps it and it was badly wanted.

He ran a blinder in this race last year, and was just not good enough for Clondaw Warrior,. A month ago I wouldn't have considered running him but he's been coming there in the last fortnight, and has started to shine. He's not a big horse but could go back over hurdles.
